How it is measured
What makes a face look masculine
Looksmaxxing forums call it dimorphism: how strongly a face shows the features that differ between typical male and female faces. Masculine faces tend to have a heavier brow ridge with lower brows, a wider jaw with a sharper angle, a taller and broader chin, a wider face for its height, thinner lips and coarser skin. An AI vision model reads those features on your photo and places you on a scale from 0 (very feminine) to 100 (very masculine). The same photo always gets the same score.

What are masculine facial features?+
A prominent brow ridge with lower, straighter brows, deep-set eyes, a wide jaw with a defined angle, a tall broad chin, a wider face for its height, thinner lips and facial hair. Each pushes the score up.
What is facial dimorphism?+
How strongly a face shows the features that differ between typical male and female faces. A highly dimorphic male face is very masculine; a highly dimorphic female face is very feminine. Forums use it as one part of attractiveness.
Can I make my face look more masculine?+
Partly. Lower body fat sharpens the jaw and cheekbones, a beard adds width and angle to the lower face, a shorter haircut with volume on top lengthens the face, and straighter, fuller brows lower the brow line. Bone structure itself does not change.
Is a more masculine face more attractive?+
Not always. Studies find people often prefer male faces that are masculine but not extreme, and preferences vary between people and over time. The score describes your face; it is not a rating.
